Definisi ALAM
ALAM merupakan satu inisiatif peringkat kebangsaan yang dicetuskan oleh Kementerian Kewangan Malaysia dan diterajui oleh Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad, dengan visi untuk merubah minda dan sikap rakyat Malaysia terhadap alam sekitar. Seperti yang terkandung dalam Rancangan Malaysia Ke-12, ALAM berhasrat untuk memupuk kesedaran, mendidik dan menyemai budaya menyampaikan maklumat berkenaan alam sekitar dengan kerjasama antara sektor awam dan swasta serta masyarakat setempat. ALAM juga menyokong pelaksanaan dasar untuk tadbir urus yang lebih baik dan menghubungkan penggubal dasar dan pihak berkepentingan.
