๐Ÿข World Turtle Day ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ’š

Did you know?
๐ŸŒŽ Sea turtles have existed for more than 100 million years โ€” even surviving the extinction of dinosaurs.
๐Ÿชธ Turtles help maintain healthy marine ecosystems by supporting seagrass beds and coral reefs.
โš ๏ธ Today, many turtle species are threatened by plastic pollution, habitat loss, illegal trade and climate change.

Every small action matters โ€” reducing plastic use, protecting beaches and conserving marine habitats can help ensure turtles continue to thrive for generations to come. ๐ŸŒฑ

This World Turtle Day, letโ€™s work together to protect our oceans and the incredible species that call them home. ๐Ÿขโœจ

๐Ÿ“ธ Join the ALAM IG Challenge #2 from 15 May โ€“ 17 July 2026 and share your creativity and love for nature through photos, videos and environmental storytelling. Together, letโ€™s inspire more people to protect our planet and marine life. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŒฟ International Day for Biological Diversity ๐ŸŒ

Did you know?
๐Ÿ More than 75% of global food crops depend, at least in part, on pollinators like bees and butterflies.
๐ŸŒณ Forests are home to over 80% of the worldโ€™s terrestrial biodiversity.
๐ŸŒŠ Oceans produce at least 50% of the Earthโ€™s oxygen and support millions of livelihoods worldwide.

Biodiversity is not just about protecting plants and animals, it is essential for food security, clean water, climate resilience and human well-being. Every action we take today helps protect the ecosystems that sustain life for future generations. ๐Ÿ’š

This International Day for Biological Diversity, letโ€™s continue to protect, restore, and celebrate nature through collective action and sustainable living. Together, we can build a healthier and more resilient planet. ๐ŸŒฑโœจ

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ World Migratory Bird Day ๐ŸŒโœจ

Did you know?
๐Ÿฆ Migratory birds travel thousands of kilometres across countries and continents every year in search of food, breeding grounds, and warmer climates.
๐ŸŒฟ Malaysia plays an important role as a stopover site for many migratory bird species along the East Asianโ€“Australasian Flyway.
โš ๏ธ However, habitat loss, climate change, pollution, and illegal hunting continue to threaten migratory bird populations worldwide.

Wetlands, mangroves, forests, and coastal ecosystems provide essential resting and feeding grounds for these incredible travellers. Protecting these habitats not only supports biodiversity but also strengthens ecosystem health for communities and future generations. ๐Ÿ’š

This World Migratory Bird Day, letโ€™s work together to conserve nature and create safer skies and habitats for migratory birds around the world. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ
