Background	YELL is a programme under collaboration between ALAM, UNDP & UNICEF, which founded on the common objective to create environmental awareness, develop champions of the environment and improve student’s employability. YELL as a whole, is carried out to reach youths nationwide at both public and private tertiary institutions including for youths that are not enrolled in any tertiary institutions. YELL targets a minimum reach 1 million youth and community members from at least 4,000 direct participants from over 100 organisation including 10 institutions of higher learning. YELL in Malaysia will strengthen the ecosystem of youth environmental leaders through the localizing of climate and environmental narratives and futures: through capacity building for evidence-based advocacy; and through work exposure and skills-building opportunities.
Impact	Creating champions of sustainability amongst youth that will have cascading effects which ultimately lead to a critical mass of supporters and eco-practitioners that demand greater environmental sustainability efforts from the lawmakers and policymakers. It also serves as plaform to improve students’ employability, in collaboration with ALAM’s partners.
