Background | - YELL is a programme under collaboration between ALAM, UNDP & UNICEF, which founded on the common objective to create environmental awareness, develop champions of the environment and improve student’s employability.
- YELL as a whole, is carried out to reach youths nationwide at both public and private tertiary institutions including for youths that are not enrolled in any tertiary institutions.
- YELL targets a minimum reach 1 million youth and community members from at least 4,000 direct participants from over 100 organisation including 10 institutions of higher learning.
- YELL in Malaysia will strengthen the ecosystem of youth environmental leaders through the localizing of climate and environmental narratives and futures: through capacity building for evidence-based advocacy; and through work exposure and skills-building opportunities.

Impact | - Creating champions of sustainability amongst youth that will have cascading effects which ultimately lead to a critical mass of supporters and eco-practitioners that demand greater environmental sustainability efforts from the lawmakers and policymakers.
- It also serves as plaform to improve students’ employability, in collaboration with ALAM’s partners.
